Picking Daisies took root in June 2008 when sisters Ann, Kay, and Dede decided to bring Ann’s homemade 100% cotton cloth napkins from the family dinner table to the marketplace. As a shopper not able to find what she wanted -- a common scenario -- Ann sewed napkins for her family for years. Friends and family commented on the vibrancy and variety of designs and noticed the fun in mixing and matching patterns and colors with every table setting. The sisters joined together to bring their complementary talents to this enterprise first at craft fairs and farmers’ markets and more recently with the opening of their retail location. These beautiful napkins for everyday use are now available on their website and at their downtown San Luis Obispo, California store with more than 50 designs on hand.

In addition, Picking Daisies serves as an art gallery to showcase some of our talented local artists. We are part of Art-After-Dark and ARTS Obispo, which hosts an downtown gallery tour the first Friday of each month.
